PROFICIENCY LEVEL This level includes speaking on wide range of different subjects and understanding texts as a high level, which will enable you to use the Russian language fluently, naturally and easily. Proficiency level supposes a student's knowledge to be virtually at the level of native speakers: in terms of pronunciation and style, knowledge of the main historical and cultural events, assessment of the political and economic processes taking place in the country and perspectives of its development. Special attention is given to the etymology of Russian and the close connections between the language and the culture: many expressions in contemporary use originate from pagan times. This level is particularly interesting for philology students in their final year, teachers of Russian (both foreign and native), native Russian speakers now living overseas, and for everyone who enjoys the beauty and originality of the Russian language and culture.
